  1. We all love music here at OX towers, but some video game music is just so epic, cool, heart-wrenching or beautiful in its simplicity, that they really struck a…*chord* with us… ahem… Here, then, are those musical moments that make us stop and go "whoa…" whenever we hear them. 🎵🎶

  2. You guys can't forget dr wilys castle from mega man 2. I have it set as my ringtone

  3. Mike explaining why Splash Wave is the proper Out Run song and how Magical Sound Shower is the wrong song is the 90s big brother energy I’m here for

  4. Nachtflugel from the yozora boss fight in KH3, that one cutscene from halo 3 when Johnson says “kick the door” and they drop onto halo in a pelican, and the final level music from Celeste (“Reaching the Summit” I think)

  5. I'm still upset about Lionhead too Ellen…

  6. People have already mentioned "Gwyn, Lord of Cinder" and "Setting Sail, Coming Home" so I'm gonna throw in another of my favorites "Hills of Radiant Winds" from Nier

  7. I'm rewatching this two years later and like a fool I didn't realise that the Undertale music was going to make me cry until it was too late

  8. Three words. "PLIN PLIN PLON"
But in seriousness, Ethan Mars' theme from Heavy Rain, the Old Snake theme from MGS4 and the Sons of Liberty theme, E1M1 from Doom and the Normandy SR2 reveal from Mass Effect 2 are like my favorite tracks in gaming

  9. The theme of the last time travel from Professor Layton and the Unwound Future

  10. There's Not a single horror game on the list…. There are so so so many good music in so many horror games 😥 nobody appreciates good horror games thoroughly..

  11. Fun fact: if I'm hearing the melody/chords correctly, that bit in "Undertale" where the melody subverts your expectations is known as an "imperfect cadence" in music theory. Basically it's an ending that is conclusive, but only somewhat; in this case, a deliberately unsatisfactory ending to the phrase.

  12. Halo music! Everything from the first game.

  13. Moon Theme from DuckTales.

  14. Cammy's theme from Super Streetfighter 2 for SNES, for some reason it hits me in the feels every time I hear it.

  15. Memories of you from persona 3 Rivers in the desert from persona 5 and Ray of light from nier automata are just my favourites. All are just amazing songs that hits me. Some in a depressing way but 1 in a good way

  16. I’ve played undertale before but never had sound on so I am just now hearing the song “undertale” for the first time

  17. For me it's Spyro Dawn of the Dragon, the music that plays in the Valley of Avalar. That whole level is so chill and you spend the majority of it just relaxingly flying around, gliding on the wind over river and forest, and the music is so perfect and calming for exactly the feel of it

  18. Monty on the run? besterest ever, for all timiest after all….

  19. "Crystal Palace" from the original Rayman makes me cry, it's so completely enchanting and lovely. Meanwhile, Blue's remixed theme from Pokemon Sun and Moon is the most dance-inducing track I've ever heard!

  20. Mafia 1 – La Verdine. Definitely that.

  21. I thought ezios family was original as" the eagle bearer" or odyseys theme

  22. Like your best nightmare and hopes and dreams are gusse amazing and don't forget undertale, core on and on

  23. I think Megalovania gets a little to much credit for being iconic.

  24. yo negl i was expecting the undertale one to be hopes and dreams–

  25. How about Hikari from Kingdom Hearts? It's a truly epic piece, full of majesty and wonder.

  26. mike has a point about the outland music to be honest. Magical Sand Shower is nice but not a good driving song.

  27. Before I watch this, if hollow knight's not on there, I'm dissapointed.

  28. My pick would've been kingdom hearts hollow bastian

  29. Do you know what I’m going to listen to that.

  30. Is ‘Til It”s Over in here?

  31. Ahh, another fan of the Speedball 2 theme. That was brilliant. In fact, a lot of the Amiga music was great.

  32. -_- Okay Pokemon Gen5 players, with three VGM videos out there, ExO doesn't see us.
    shrug Their loss…

  33. Any song from Super Mario Galaxy instantly makes me tear up, I remember my younger self watching my dad play the game as I swayed my tiny head side to side. The magic of the stars still returns to me whenever I hear it, and I miss being younger, not having any expectations of anything… (im gonna stop writing now before I make myself cry)

  34. Undertale has the best music

  35. Honestly, I only paid attention to the music in AC Revelations, but I do recognize that tune…. didn't know it came from AC 2.

  36. No doom or castlevania music ? O-0

  37. My music: His Theme Undertale, I love that other than SAVE The World and Hopes and Dreams because I love how so connected you feel with Asriel that when you get the choice to hug or leave you hug him

  38. Castlevania aos dance hall theme is quite pleasant to the ear too. But there is no story behind it tho

  39. Hey listen to deep stone lullaby

  40. Room for angel from silent hill the room. I still have it in my playlists
