  1. Overall, this is a very well-made video. It does a great job of highlighting the important information about each of the four stages of cognitive development according to Piaget’s theory and even offers ways to test a child’s development. However, it does forget some crucial parts of Piaget’s mindset and theories that are important to mention. Firstly, I think it is crucial to at least point out that it is possible for children to develop outside of these loosely structured time frames. According to Piaget, a child’s environment can impact the speed at which they develop. He believed that all children would go through all the stages of development, but they don’t have to happen at the same point for each child. Additionally, Piaget supported the idea of nature vs./and nurture, which wasn’t mentioned in this video. Finally, it might be wise to state his theory, the constructivist theory, which says that children are constantly trying to “master” their environments, and that is how they develop and learn.

  2. Hey didn't you explained object permanence the opposite.
The child knows that the object is still there even outside the sight. But you told the opposite. Please clarify.

Thank you for the amazing content you guys make.

  3. Can early childhood trauma cause rapid succession through these stages in effort of making more “sense” of the world?

  4. Yall the speaker has conservation in the wrong stage. Conservation starts in the preoperational stage not the concrete stage

  5. I cant see you you cant see me. JOHN CENA!

  6. Thank you so much for this.

  7. Very informational! Although, I was hoping for a time period or year from the start of the video when you stated that children were once seen as just mini-adults?! I associate time periods with outside factors as well, to see how this conclusion came to be with the people around at that time! Dates and Years are very important!

  8. Ciekawostka.

  9. This was so helpful! I seriously watched a dozen other videos and read a bunch of articles on Piaget's Developmental Stages and couldn't get it until now.

  15. So I went and found the child but the parents won't let me experiment on it. This is what Galileo must've felt like

  16. What about post-formal, vision-logic, etc? Disappointed.

EDIT: Oops, Ken Wilber outlined those stages, my mistake.
